CLIENTS OF ALL SHAPES AND SIZES

It was a heart-warming moment when the staff of the Expo Centre reunited the mother of an Egyptian Goose with her 10 babies.  The Expo Centre has been home to a pair of breeding Egyptian Geese for several years now, but unfortunately has never managed to save the hatchlings from natural predators.

During September and November, the staff watched the progress of the mother laying her eggs, in the central lake, which is a unique feature of the Centre, and took care to try to protect the eggs during the busy build up of Auto Africa. Once the goslings had hatched, a decision was made to relocate them until they were older to ensure their safety until they were old enough to survive.

A friend of the Expo Centre, Mr Chris Boshoff of Mobile EduZoo, collected all 17 goslings and has nurtured them over the past three months.

Once released, the 10 goslings took to the water in delight and firmly established their new home.  It is certainly a wonderful and unique site for any venue.
